Launched in January 2016, the ISCA-SCFOI Mentoring Programme is a joint collaboration between the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) and the Singapore CFO Institute (SCFOI). The Mentoring Programme is designed to offer CFO aspirants the opportunities to learn and gain advice from experienced mentors within the accounting and finance profession. Through the Programme, mentees will receive unique perspectives on the requisites needed for the next stage of their careers, as well as impartial guidance on business issues and sharing of best practices.

The ISCA-SCFOI Mentoring Programme presents an unique opportunity for you to serve as a mentor to aspiring CFOs and guide them in achieving their career and professional goals.

Mentees Are you prepared for your next career advancement? Or are you facing specific business and leadership challenges and are looking forward to hearing real-life experiences and advice from an experienced finance leader?
This programme provides a platform for you to connect with our pool of C-Suite mentors from diverse industries and backgrounds.
As a mentee of this programme, you are expected to:
Have a clear sense of professional and career objectives
Have the desire for self-improvement
Approach the programme with an open mindset and be receptive to recommendations from the mentor
Have a proactive attitude and aspiration to take the next leap in the professional career
Intended For: Accounting and finance professionals who are one or two levels from the CFO/Head of Finance role
The Mentoring Programme will begin in May and end in October 2016 (6 months)
The co-organisers will pair mentors and mentees based on the information submitted in the application forms
A half-day preparatory workshop will be conducted prior to the commencement of the programme*
Mentoring pair is recommended to meet on a regular basis, arranged on their own accord
It is recommended that the pair holds a maximum 6 meetings, with each meeting lasting approximately 1 hour
Both mentors and mentees are required to submit a programme review, recounting their experience, at the end of the 6-month programme
