Professional Conversion Programme (PCP)

Professional Conversion Programme (PCP)

What is it?

WSG’s Professional Conversion Programmes (PCPs) are career conversion programmes targeted at Professionals, Managers, Executives and Technicians (PMETs), including mid-career switchers, to undergo skills conversion and move into new occupations or sectors that have good prospects and opportunities for progression.

The ongoing PCP for the accountancy sector is to make a career switch to become a management accountant.

Who is it for?

For Individuals

  • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident of Singapore;
  • Minimum 21 years old;
  • Graduated or completed National Service (if applicable) at least two years prior to the point of application; and
  • Possess two years of work experience in PMET role not similar to the PCP job.

Beyond the general eligibility criteria for PMETs, other course-specific entry criteria and employer-specific job criteria may apply for different PCPs.

How does it benefit you?

  • Allows you to do a mid-career switch to an alternative career path with no prior experience
  • Allows you to leverage structured industry-recognised training while being employed
  • You will be deemed as a full time employee while being on a PCP

Union Training Assistance Programme (UTAP)

Union Training Assistance Programme (UTAP)

What is it?

UTAP is a training grant for NTUC members to defray their cost of training

Who is it for?

For NTUC union members who have attended ISCA trainings supported under UTAP, you will be entitled to claim 50% of unfunded course fee capped at $250 per year upon course completion.

How does it benefit you?

  • 50% unfunded course fee support
    • Capped at $250 per calendar year when you sign up for supported courses
  • Over 3,500 courses
    • UTAP can be used for over 3,500 supported courses
    • Visit > “Skills upgrade available” > “Search courses” to view course list

  • Easy to apply
    • Sign up as a U Portal member on to log in and apply for UTAP within 6 months after course completion.
