The Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants, Ernst & Young Advisory Pte. Ltd. , Singapore Management University and Singapore Accountancy Commission issued a joint study entitled "Sustainability – Jobs and Skills for the Accountancy Profession". The study found that the Chief Finance and Sustainability Officer is an emerging job role, and how accountancy and finance professionals are in an advantageous position to take on this role, as well driving the sustainability agenda in their organisations.

Among the ISCA Council members are female finance leaders and accounting firm partners, representatives from the small and medium and mid-tier accounting practices, and an entrepreneur. In total, women leaders make up 30% of the Council members.

ISCA Survey: Close to 90% of Accountancy Profession have Adapted to New Ways of Working and Doing Business amid the Pandemic

- The Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants shared its Pre-Budget Survey 2022 at a Roundtable today. The survey found that 89% of auditors, accountancy and finance professionals have adapted to new ways of working and doing business amid the pandemic. Auditors, accountancy and finance professionals also remain cautiously optimistic about their organisation's performance in early to mid-2022. Among those working in large companies, 54% expect to see improvements, while 41% of those in small companies are optimistic about their organisation’s performance for the first half of the year. The survey also shared insights in employers’ concerns into labour issues such as staff attrition, foreign worker restrictions and rising labour wage costs. It also revealed the concerns of auditors, accountants and finance professionals, which include reduced income, job losses, and work and personal life segregation. Employers and accountancy professionals also ranked the government schemes which they found useful.
