The ISCA Pre-Budget Rountable 2017 on January 11 served as an invaluable platform to gather the views and insights of business leaders on how Singapore can advance its future. Held for the eighth year running, the Roundtable brought together leaders of trade bodies, accounting firms and C-suite executives to discuss and provide recommendations on the Singapore Budget.
Global economic challenges continue unabated. The backlash against globalization was clearly witnessed last year, through the United Kingdom (UK)’s Brexit referendum result and the election of Donald Trump as the new President of the United States. In Singapore, the growth forecast for 2017 stands at a modest 1% to 3%.
