The four new Council members helm leadership positions at diverse large organisations.
Singapore, 28 April, 2019 – As part of its leadership renewal process, the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) has elected four new members to the ISCA Council. Together with the rest of the ISCA Council, the four Council members will inject new perspectives in spearheading the Institute’s efforts towards being a globally recognised professional accountancy body and a world-class organisation that is member-centric, while adding value to its members, the profession and wider community.
The four new Council members are:
- Mr Ho Kuen Loon, Group Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director for Singapore, Fullerton Health Corporation
- Mr Tan Kuang Hui, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Partner, Crowe Horwath First Trust LLP
- Mr Don Wee Boon Hoong, Senior Vice President, United Overseas Bank Limited
- Mr Christopher Wong Mun Yick, Head of Assurance and Audit Partner, Ernst & Young LLP
Elected New ISCA Treasurer
The election of ISCA Council members took place after the ISCA’s 2018/2019 Annual General Meeting held on 27 April. This also saw the election of Mr Roger Tay Puay Cheng, Head of Audit, Partner, KPMG LLP as ISCA Treasurer, joining the current office-bearers comprising:
- President: Mr Kon Yin Tong, Managing Partner, Foo Kon Tan LLP
- Vice President: Ms Yvonne Chan Mei Chuen, Finance Director, Enterprise Singapore (from 29 April 2019 onwards)
- Secretary: Mr Kelvin Tan Wee Peng, Independent Director
Re-elected Council Members
In addition to the four newly elected Council members, four Council members were re-elected to the Institute’s leadership team.
The re-elected Council members are:
- Ms Yvonne Chan Mei Chuen, Finance Director, Enterprise Singapore (from 29 April 2019 onwards)
- Mr Darren Tan Siew Peng, Chief Financial Officer, OCBC Bank
- Mr Kelvin Tan Wee Peng, Independent Director
- Mr Roger Tay Puay Cheng, Head of Audit, Partner, KPMG LLP
Mr Kon Yin Tong, ISCA President, said: “We are pleased to welcome our new members to the Council. With the Council’s years of experience in leadership positions across diverse industries, I am sure that the Institute will benefit greatly from their counsel and guidance. In this fast-changing business environment, the profession needs to be ready to meet the challenges in the shift towards Industry 4.0.
