ISCA CEO, Mr Lee Fook Chiew, was quoted in The Business Times on the question of "How is your organisation girding for the recession? Are there any silver linings or bright spots amid the economic gloom?" This is what he has to share:

ISCA is supporting the accountancy profession through the recession via career support, business support and virtual learning support. We created a career microsite featuring job vacancies and government career schemes. To help businesses and individuals navigate the support schemes and resources from the government and ISCA, we produced the COVID-19 navigator. We have virtual conferences as well as an eLearning Space with live webinars and e-learning modules, so that accountants can continue their professional development and be prepared when the upturn happens.

A silver lining that emerged is that the pandemic has accelerated the pace of digital transformation. To that end, we are helping small and medium accountancy practices to digitalise their processes, which can lead to cost savings and increased productivity.
