FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

The ISCA SRP is a specialist professional credential that recognises individuals with demonstrated competence in preparing sustainability reports aligned with Singapore’s regulatory and reporting expectations.

The credential provides professional signalling that you are capable of producing credible and regulator-aligned sustainability reports to support growing expectations from various stakeholders.

Yes. ISCA members may apply directly. Non-members will need to be admitted as an ISCA Associate (Specialist) to hold and maintain the credential.

Applicants must have successfully completed the ISCA Sustainability Professional Certification programme and meet ISCA’s membership and experience requirements.

Non-CA (Singapore) applicants must have at least three years of recent and relevant sustainability-related work experience, gained within 6 years immediately prior to the date of credential application.

Relevant sustainability reporting experience could be in one of the following areas:

A. Sustainability Governance & Strategy

B. Sustainability Reporting & Disclosure

C. GHG Accounting & Data Management

D. Sustainability Risk Management & Internal Controls

Yes. An experienced professional route will be available for existing CA (Singapore) members who have acquired and accumulated at least 3 years of recent* sustainability reporting-related experience (refer to what counts as “relevant sustainability reporting experience” in the above FAQ, even if they did not complete ISPC.

  1. These members can submit a latest resume and/or employment testimonials and provide two (2) character references. The first referee must be a member of a recognised professional body (applicable to non-ISCA member), and the second referee shall be the applicant’s present employer or immediate past employer if employed with current employer for less than 6 months.

* work experience acquired within six (6) years immediately prior to the date of credential application.

No. Eligible graduates must apply separately for the credential and meet the membership and experience requirements before the credential can be conferred.

Credential holders must maintain ISCA membership in good standing, pay the annual credential renewal fee, complete 8 sustainability-related CPE hours each year and comply with the Institute (membership and fees) rules and ISCA Code of Conduct and Ethics. In the event that these requirements are not satisfied, the credential will be revoked and reinstatement requirements must be met to regain the credential. Credential holders may use the “ISCA SRP” designation in professional profiles, resumes and signatures, subject to ISCA’s rules on credential usage and professional conduct.
