ISCA Viewpoint
How would your business or organisation respond to the Committee on the Future Economy's recommendations?
20 Feb 2017
ISCA CEO, Mr Lee Fook Chiew, was interviewed by The Business Times on the question of "How would your business or organisation respond to the Committee on the Future Economy's recommendations?" This is what he has to share:
The CFE report highlighted the importance for Singapore to build a vibrant ecosystem of hub services for the Asian region, of which professional services like accounting are key. To prepare our members for the future economy, ISCA has launched specialisation pathways to make our members more versatile by broadening and deepening their skill sets. An example is the accelerated pathway with the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) for accountants to obtain the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation. We have also launched certification programmes in business analytics and SME accounting, in line with general business trends. We will continue to enhance our continuing professional education and training programmes, particularly in high-growth areas identified by the CFE. - Lee Fook Chiew, Chief Executive Officer, Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA)
