ISCA CEO, Mr Lee Fook Chiew, was quoted in The Business Times on the question of "What will be the biggest contributing factor for Singapore to achieve its vision as a leading global financial centre in Asia? " This is what he has to share:
The accountancy profession plays a key role in preparing and ensuring reliable financial reports, which is fundamental to Singapore’s goal to be a leading global financial centre. Amid technology disruption, the underlying job functions and financial processes will change. As the national accountancy body, ISCA is preparing the profession for the future. We enable our members to broaden their skillsets and deepen their expertise via specialisation pathways such as the Financial Forensic Accounting qualification, and courses in cyber security and data analytics, to help them stay relevant. Our members are also kept abreast of developments impacting the profession via our events and research reports. - Lee Fook Chiew, Chief Executive Officer, Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA)
