iii. SPD – Work towards integrating people with disabilities into mainstream society via rehabilitation, employment training, education etc. by maximising their potential and helping them to be self-reliant and independent. This is the second time ISCA is holding the ISCA Run.
This is the second time ISCA is holding the ISCA Run. i.Last year, the ISCA Run raised funds for the Singapore Association of the Visually Handicapped (SAVH), with a total of 1,175 runners.
2. This year, we are pleased to be able to contribute funds raised from the run to support the work of MINDS and SPD, with a total of 1,382 runners (as of Saturday, 23 May 2015)
As an added incentive for runners we are introducing the ISCA Corporate Challenge. The top four finishers in various categories will be awarded points that will add to their organisation’s overall score in the ISCA games 2015.
3. Happy to see runners from diverse age groups and all walks of life.
Very encouraged to know that the run’s oldest participant, Mr Chan Meng Hui, 85 years old, will be running 10km.
And the youngest participants are just five years old, and all six of them will be taking part in the 750m kids dash.
May everyone have a wonderful time running under the gentle morning sun and with the sea breeze. Thank you.
