To support Singapore-listed companies in navigating mandatory climate-related disclosures in their sustainability reporting, ISCA has partnered with the Singapore Exchange Regulation (SGX RegCo) to launch training workshops to help companies gain an overview of sustainability reporting, as well as a comprehensive understanding of the application of the requisite International Sustainability Disclosure Standards.

Through the workshop, Singapore listed entities can benefit by learning about best practices in sustainability reporting, including the application of International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) Standards through hands-on practical exercises and case studies.

The collaboration between ISCA and SGX RegCo follows the October 2024 launch of ISCA’s Illustrative Sustainability Report: Based on the GRI Standards and the IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards, a guide developed to provide clarity to entities which are already reporting under the GRI Standards on how to also adopt climate-related requirements under the ISSB’s International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Sustainability Disclosure Standards.

Upon completion of the course, you will be able to:

Gain practical insights and build confidence to implement the learnings within your own organisation;
Distinguish between the ISSB Standards and the GRI Standards as well as TCFD recommendations;
Explain the importance of balanced sustainability reporting and its role in providing stakeholders with transparent, reliable, and relevant information;
Understand the general requirements of the IFRS S1 across the governance, strategy, risk management and metrics and targets pillars, including the climate-relevant disclosure requirements in IFRS S1; and
Perform climate-related disclosures, including current and anticipated financial effects, scenario analysis, in accordance with the requirements of IFRS S2.

Fees

SGX will subsidise the workshop fees for the first two representatives from each listed company. To be eligible for the subsidised fee, please note that:

Company must be primary-listed on the Singapore Exchange. Note that only the first two nominated representative of the eligible company will be able to tap on the subsidised fee, and each individual will only be supported to participate once.
Participant must fulfill attendance checks in workshop
Participant must complete the post-workshop feedback survey

Please note that the company is liable to make full payment for the course fees if the participant fails to complete the eligibility requirements above for the workshop.
