Singapore, 24 April, 2017 - The Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) has elected five new members to the ISCA Council. This is part of the Institute’s leadership renewal process to inject new perspectives in spearheading the Institute’s efforts towards being a globally recognised professional accountancy body.
The five members, who hail from diverse backgrounds, are:
Ms Yvonne Chan Mei Chuen, Chief Financial Officer and Director (Corporate Development), Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore
Mr Balasubramaniam Janamanchi, Managing Partner/Director, JBS Practice PAC
Mr Tan Siew Peng, Darren, Chief Financial Officer, OCBC Bank
The election followed the conclusion of ISCA’s 2016/2017 Annual General Meeting held on 22 April, which saw three other re-elected Council members rejoining the Institute’s leadership team for another two-year term.
Mr Gerard Ee, ISCA President, said: “We are pleased to welcome the new members into the Council. I am confident that the new Council members, with their years of corporate experience in leadership positions across diverse industries, will add dynamism and fresh perspectives to the ISCA Council. I look forward to working together with the newly-elected Council to advance the accountancy profession as ISCA continues to make major strides towards global recognition.”
Re-elected Council Members
In addition to the new members, three members are also re-elected to the ISCA Council at this AGM. They are:

Mr Lee Wai Fai, Group Chief Financial Officer, United Overseas Bank Ltd
Mr Max Loh Khum Whai, EY Asean and Singapore Managing Partner, Ernst & Young LLP
